The White German Shepherd Dog Club of America, Inc. (WGSDCA) was founded in January 1997 by a group of people devoted to the protection and advancement of the German Shepherd Dog with a white coat color. The WGSDCA was originally named the White German Shepherd Dog Fanciers (WGSDF) but the name was changed in 2002 to better reflect the goals of the organization.
The WGSDCA holds independent conformation dog shows using qualified judges, awarding championship points and titles to dogs that characterize the essence of the breed standard. The WGSDCA also offers altered Dog classes where white German Shepherd Dogs that are spayed or neutered can compete to earn conformation titles. In addition to classes for white German Shepherds, the WGSDCA offers conformation classes and championships to stock dogs – colored dogs that carry the white factor.
In addition to improving the WGSD through conformation, members of the WGSDCA are also active with their dogs in performance activities such as agility, obedience, and tracking. The WGSDCA believes that these beautiful white-colored dogs are an important part of the German Shepherd Dog breed and we embrace all activities that support these amazing dogs.
